Soundland is has
been happening in Nashville since Wednesday evening, and I am so pumped that I
bit the bullet and got a wristband. You can’t beat fabulous live music, much less four days of
it. Here is a sampling of what I have heard, and will be hearing!
Dawes "Western Skyline"
M. Ward “Fuel for Fire”
M. Ward “Oh Lonesome Me”—He played this with a couple of the guys from Lambchop and it was so great. It was even better to see the young hipster music scene kids sitting next to me have no idea who they were!
Foster the People “Pumped Up Kicks”
Jason Isbell “Cigarettes and Wine”
Codeine
Justin Townes
Earle “Slippin’ and Slidin’”—Love this video, Joshua Black Wilkins is one of my favorite photographers in town, so no doubt his videos are equally impressive!
“Harlem River Blues” on Letterman. With Jason Isbell on
guitar!
Jessica Lea
Mayfield “I’ll Be The One You Want Someday”
Apache Relay “Home Is Not Places”
