my pottery + food photography = happy accident of colors
As you know by now, I photograph food a lot, and lately I have had my
own pottery as the canvas! Here is a glimpse of a few of the pieces that
have made their way into my meals and snapshots. What do you think? One big reason I love to photograph food is because of the beautiful color palettes that happen naturally, and I am just now noticing that the glazes I have been choosing just might be subconsciously inspired by this! Everything but those two blues, which just seem to me the perfect colors to make anything stand out happily and boldly! I
will be diligently working towards introducing more pottery through my
400 Moons shop and at upcoming markets, and would love to hear feedback
on the goods and the bads!

These are beautiful! Where do you make your pottery? Do you have your own wheel and kiln? I've been wanting to get back into pottery lately and try making some ceramic book covers for handbound books.
Thanks Katie! I take classes and have studio time at Mid-South Ceramics. Its a great studio if you are looking for one! And am working towards getting my own wheel in the near future and getting my own little area set up at the house. Check out that studio though, I take on Wednesday evenings. Handbound books with ceramic covers would be awesome!
Thanks for the info! I looked into Mid-South Ceramics online, and I am definitely going to considering signing up for some classes once my schedule gets a little less hectic.
